Sophie Online is an unofficial fansite dedicated to the incredibly talented British singer and model Sophie Ellis-Bextor. We have a
large image gallery full of screencaptures, magazine scans, event and public appearance pictures, photoshoots and more, most of which in high quality and
untagged. We also offer media downloads - over 130 high quality videos of Sophie's performances, interviews and videos, besides exclusive audios,
LiveJournal icons and wallpapers. Apart from that, we provide you with detailed information and latest news on Sophie and her amazing career. There's also
the press room where you can find loads of articles and reviews related to Ms Ellis-Bextor and our Style Guide in which you can find what Sophie's
been wearing in her events and while she's out and about. We strive to bring you an informative, often updated and fun fansite without being
intrusive of Sophie's personal life.
This site opened its door on March 23, 2003, when I realised it was time to make a decent fansite dedicated to our dear Sophie. By that time, I didn't
know anything about HTML code or anything related to website or webdesign. This site began as SophieBR and was hosted at geocities. In 2004,
the English version was launched and it was when I realised I had to learn HTML and try to use Photoshop. As my abilities improved, I was invited to
be a hostee at Hilary Who, which hosted my site for four months, after that I moved to former Miss Watson, where I stayed for seven
months. I got all my files deleted and had to find a new host and start all over again. Gertie was kind enough to host us and I've been here at Fan
Sites Network for almost four years. Gertie also gave me a domain, for which I'll always be grateful. Then in 2008, Wextor joined me to help me
with the news.
We're both really proud that what started as a mini fansite has grown in such way to become the largest and longest running fansite dedicated to Sophie.
And we must thank you all our visitors for keep visiting it, because without you, none of this would be possible and this site wouldn't have been online
for 6 years! To you all, our huge 'thankyou'.
